Romania’s agriculture is fragmented, with some larger-scale farming companies operating amongst a tapestry of millions of one or two hectare strips.
In Romania, we benefit from both scale, and high levels of consolidation, with large fields aggregated from a number of neighbouring small land-owners. This distinguishes us in a highly fragmented agriculture market. It has been achieved by a mixture of acquisitions (where we have managed to acquire large areas of land already amalgamated by previous operators), and by a constantly on-going process of leasing additional strips of land.
