Biographies
Richard Clothier (66) - Chairman. Educated in Rhodesia, Richard is formerly Chief Executive of PGI Group Plc and formerly a Director of Granada Plc. He was previously Chief Executive of Dalgety Plc. He is Chairman of Robinson Plc, Aqua Bounty Technologies Inc and Imagelinx Plc. Richard joined the Board of Farmwealth Ltd in 1999 and the Spearhead Board in 2000. He was appointed Chairman in 2005.
Stephen Turley (54) - Non-Executive Director. Stephen was educated in Buenos Aires, at Worth Abbey and Birmingham University, and spent five years with Deloitte & Touche in London. He is a farmer, and is a Director of Openfield Group Ltd. He joined the Board of Farmwealth Ltd in 1996 and the Spearhead Board in 2000. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Martin Thomas (48) - Non-Executive Director. Martin has been a senior official of the European Central Bank, the EU Commission and the Bank of England. He is Chairman of Lancashire Holdings, the FTSE 250 insurer. He is a partner and board member of Altima Partners LLP, where he is head of Unlisted Investments. He joined the Spearhead Board in 2010. He is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.
David Gray (59) - Non-Executive Director. David is a partner of Altima Partners LLP. Since 2007 he has had responsibility for unlisted investments made by the Altima One World Agriculture Fund. Prior to joining Altima in 2005 he had spent 25 years in investment banking and corporate finance across a range of industrial sectors. He joined the Spearhead Board in 2010.
Tom Green (46) - Chief Executive. Educated at Radley College, Tom is formerly General Manager of G's Marketing Ltd and Chief Executive of Greens of Soham Ltd. He was appointed to the Board of Greens of Soham Ltd in 1993, and to the Board of Farmwealth Ltd in 1999. Greens of Soham and Farmwealth merged in 2000, forming Spearhead International Ltd. He was appointed Chief Executive in 2002.
Oskar Zahn (48) - Chief Financial Officer. Educated in South Africa, Oskar is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He was formerly Vice President Finance for Europe, Middle East and Africa for Teleflex Inc, Head of Finance British Airways Engineering, European Group Controller Georgia-Pacific Inc, and Audit Manager at KPMG. He was appointed CFO and joined the Spearhead Board in 2008.
Tomasz Zdziebkowski (50) - Chief Executive Top Farms Group and Chief Operating Officer of the Central Europe Region. Tomasz is a former Chairman and Managing Partner of BDO Binder in Warsaw. He was a PhD Lecturer at Poznan Agricultural Faculty and undertook project work with Ciba-Geigy and Unilever. He completed a post-graduate Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School, University of Navarra. He was a co-founder of Top Farms in Poland in 1995. He joined the Farmwealth Board in 1998 and the Spearhead Board in 2001.
